Sawrizor – A FREE Synth VST Plugin from Sugar Audio
Sugar Audio have generously released Sawrizor Lite, a lightweight, easy-to-use synth plugin available in VST, AAX and AU plugin formats.
This is the Lite, freeware version of Sugar Audio’s paid plugin Sawrizor, but still includes a lot of the features and on-board controls of the full version.
The Sawrizor engine features a singular saw-wave oscillator with the option of up to 11-voice unison. You can then add a sub-bass oscillator to beef up the low-end, with a choice of 7 sub waveform shapes.
This free plugin is particularly good at creating spacious EDM synth leads and other more aggressive electronic sounds. It even comes with an impressive range of presets designed especially for various EDM genres, so you can instantly load up some high-quality saw-wave sounds.
Plus, the interface features four effects you can use to personalise your sound; chorus, delay, reverb, and EQ.
You might be thinking: do I really need this free plugin? Even if you already own freewave synth heavyweights such as Vital or Surge, occasionally you may need a low-CPU loading to build some instant saw-wave sounds. Who knows, you may find some Sawrizor presets that spark some creative inspiration.
Sawrizor is available on the Keys Magazine website, in VST, AAX and AU plugin formats. The download process is incredibly easy, with no sign-ups, activation codes etc.
